Julian enjoys his holiday up on the Gold Coast, though just misses running with Brady. Brad puts in his final preparations and negotiations ahead of his big pacing job. Brady has a strange encounter with a truckie before joining Brad for pacing duties.

Jessica Stenson joins the boys onstage, talking about her preparation for the Paris Olympic Marathon, her second place at the Gold Coast Half Marathon and addresses the commentary that came as a result of her selection for the team.

Timothy Kattam of Kenya was the winner of the 2024 Gold Coast Marathon in 2:08:51, ahead of Belay Tilahun of Ethiopia and Kiyoshi Koga of Japan. Liam Boudin was the first Australian 2:13:56. Yuki Nakamura of Japan was first woman across the line in a new course record time of 2:24:22 with Kumeshi Sichala of Ethiopia second and Visiline Jepkosho of Kenya third, Sarah Klein first Australian in 2:31:55.

Andy Buchanan 1:02:25, Isaac Heyne 1:02:27 for second and the SA State record with Shunsuke Shikama of Japan third in 1:02:28. Leanne Pompeani was the winner of the half marathon in 1:09:20, Jessica Stenson second in 1:10:08 and Sara Hall of the USA third in 1:10:54. Haftu Strintzos and Caitlin Adams were the winners of the 10k.
