West Australian, Peter Bol, has broken his own Australian 800m record at the Paris Diamond League overnight. Bol stopped the clock at 1:44.00, wiping 0.11 of a second from his old mark, to finish second to Frenchman Benjamin Robert.
Jack Rayner has obliterated his old 5000m PB by 28 seconds at Oslo's famous Bislett Games, clocking 13:06 to move to 3rd on the Australian all-time 5000m rankings list. Australia's Georgia Griffith has posted the third fastest 1500m ever by an Australian. In the Norwegian town of Jessheim, Griffith was paced by Ellie Sanford and won the race comfortably by approximately 50-60m. Her time of 4:00.16 is also a Commonwealth and world champs qualifying time. After her second place at the Australian championships over 1500m, Griffith looks good to toe to line in Oregon and Birmingham.
