The Haspa Marathon Hamburg returns to its traditional spring date on Sunday for the first time since 2019 with probably the strongest elite fields in the history of the event.
The Colombian city of Cali will be the place to be for junior track and field athletes come August, with 60 future stars of Australian athletics set to compete at the World Athletics Under 20 Championships from 1-6 August.
Both course records could become a target at the Vienna City Marathon, which features strong elite races on 24th April. Kenyans Leonard Langat and Vibian Chepkirui will return to defend their Vienna titles while there are three men on the start list who have broken 2:06 and five women featuring personal bests of sub 2:25.

Australia's largest and most famous trail race has been post-poned from May until  October. The following email has been sent to all runners.
Entries are now open to Victoria’s premier Trail Running Series for 2022 as it returns to its usual winter and spring seasons.
 Three more Australian track and field athletes are Oregon bound, with Tokyo Olympic bronze medallists Kelsey-Lee Barber and Ash Moloney, as well as World Athletics Indoor Championships silver medallist Eleanor Patterson named as the newest additions to the Australian team heading to the World Athletics Championships this July.
Viewers of the recent world indoor championships may have noticed the take-off board in the horizontal jumps was an official-free zone.
