New South Welshman, Ed Trippas, has clocked the fastest Steeplechase time by an Australian since 2012, knocking 7 seconds off his PB to post 8:26.25 at the Portland Track Festival. The time takes Ed to 8th on the all-time Australian list. Ed finished third at the recent Australian Titles and selection trials, behind James Nipperess and Ben Buckingham. The Olympic standard is 8:22.00.

Meanwhile in the Netharlands, Izzi Batt-Doyle and Rose Davies have both run Olympic 5000m qualifiers. Izzi stopped the clock at 15:04.10 to take the win, with Rose behind in 15:08.48. Izzi’s time takes her to #6 on the Australian all-time list. Davies, The 2020 Zatopek 10 champ, is on the rise, her time the 8th fastest all-time by an Australian. Congrats Izzi and Rose….
