Victoria’s Andrew Buchanan and Madeline Hills have won the open Australian Cross Country Championships at Maleny Golf Club on the Sunshine Coast.

Buchanan became the first athlete in 20 year to defend his title finishing ahead of South Australia’s Riley Cocks and NSW’s Ed Goddard.
South Australia won the teams event of NSW 2nd and Vitoria 3rd.
On the women’s side, Olympian Madeline Hills (Vic) won the 59th Australian women’s Cross County Championship from South Australia’s Caitlin Adams and NSW’s Lara Hamilton.

Victoria took home the team title over Queensland and NSW.
