Jess Hull ran a new National and Oceania 1500m Record of 3:50.83, well clear of her previous mark and 5th fastest of all time, chasing winner and World Record holder Faith Kipyegon who ran 3:49.04 at the Paris Diamond League. Jess is now the 5th fastest woman ever in the 1500m.Linden Hall also ran a new personal best of 3:56.40 to place fourth behind Laura Muir.
Stewy McSweyn returned to form running 7:29.46 in the men’s 3000m, while Djamel Sedjati of Algeria took out a stacked 800m in a World Lead time of 1:41.56.
Paris Diamond League Results
Jess Hull continued the momentum at the Monaco Diamond League setting a World Record of 5:19.70 in the 2000m. Georgia Griffith ran 5:28.82 for fifth place Daniel Sedjati of Algeria World Lead time of 1:41.46. Jakob Ingebrigsten also set a World Lead and European Record in the 1500m of 3:26.73, while Olli Hoare ran 3:31.07 for a season’s best. Lauren Ryan ran 15:22.03 in the 5000m.
