By Matt Lynch This is going to be a full-on, comprehensive, top to bottom deep dive of the 2019 Australian/New Zealand sprinting season. Or not. I don’t know. You can decide at the end. Either way, I’ll attempt to review, evaluate and calculate the season of every track event that doesn’t have a bell.
Last but not least… the countless options of trails! The town of Bright is surrounded by pine forests and these Logging roads make for some nice running. Snowy Creek road is a great option for a long out and back run, the Cherry Walk Nature trail follows the river- its flat and smooth under foot and great for sessions. Finally, If you want flat cycle-path: the Murray to mountains rail trail (Wangaratta to Bright) is approximately 85km.
Currently, I am home in Boulder Colorado with my rear end parked on the couch after my Silicon Valley Turkey Trot race. Training has been great here. Joining Tinman has been my first experience with altitude training. At first, I struggled but then things just seemed to click for me one day. It’s been smooth sailing since. I’ve been crushing workouts and feeling great. It’s been a huge perspective shift from college. The NCAA is a bit of a meatgrinder system.
Written by Len Johnson Graham Crouch, an Olympic finalist, an Australian record holder, a participant in two of the greatest middle-distance races ever, passed away on 28 November after a battle with a particularly aggressive form of cancer. Crouch was rarely referred to by his full name. Most commonly he was...
The World Athletics Athlete of the Year is determined by a vote of administrators, a (loosely defined) athletics ‘family’ and fans (that is, members of the general public). The administrators – aka World Athletics Council members – count for 50 percent; the family – including media, coaches, agents and meeting...

2019 was a big year from Sam Parsons; a switch to run for Germany and an appearance at the Doha World Championships making 2019 an eventful one for this rising 5000m athlete.  Based in Boulder, Colorado, Sam is busy preparing for what will hopefully be a bigger 2020, with the Olympics just a stone throws away.We caught up with Sam to chat about 2019, his training, and heaps more.
In April 2019, Irish-born Australian Sinead Diver, moved to third on the Aussie women’s all-time list after finishing seventh at the London Marathon with a time of 2:24:11. This time was also a 2020 Tokyo Olympic qualifier and the fastest time by an Australian in 12 years. The only Australian women to have run quicker are Benita Willis and Lisa Ondieki. We caught up with Sinead for a flash interview.
Two Olympic golds, two world championship golds, 800m world record holder.  The G.O.A.T – of that there can be little doubt.  Like many star 800m runners, Rudisha hails from the Brother Colm O’Connell stable. Home to thoroughbreds. Runner’s Tribe took an in-depth look at the training of the 800m G.O.A.T himself, David Rudisha.
It is part and parcel of an athlete's career that they are judged purely on their results, and quite often the journey behind the results is ignored. Rohan Browning has lived both the extreme highs and lows of this journey, since he began his athletics career in 2014.  Browning was discovered by his current (and only) coach, Andrew Murphy, whilst attending Trinity Grammar School in Sydney. The path towards becoming Australia's equal third fastest 100m sprinter of all-time has been filled with setbacks. However, despite this, Browning is without a doubt one of the top sprinters this country has produced. And he is just 21 years of age.
