Contempt for the political and bureaucratic classes sits at the extreme end of that range with scorn, disparagement and bemused indifference following in descending order of malevolence. Jim Walmsley is without a doubt America's greatest ever ultra trail runner. At 30 years of age Walmsley is best known for his success in ultrarunning, and especially as the record holder of the Western States 100. He is also the world record holder for 50 miles. Brett Robinson has broken the Australian half marathon record at the Marugame Half Marathon clocking 59:57. ⁣The record has stood since 1968, when Darren Wilson clocked 1:00.02 in Tokyo, Japan.  The performance pushes Michael Shelley, the two time Commonwealth Games Marathon champion out of the top-10, he now sits in 11th.
