Every runner loves a new race especially when it s a virtual challenge that also aims to protect wild places.

With over 5 million hectares of land devastated in Australia by bushfires (so far) this summer it’s even more important now to protect our remaining forests and wild places.

So here at the Runner’s Tribe we welcome the news that ‘Run for Wild Places’ challenge has just launched.

It’s a new challenge event for runners created by the guy who created the Takayna Ultra (https://www.runnerstribe.com/latest-news/takayna-tarkine-ultra-run-to-save-wild-places/) that takes places this April challenging you to get out in nature, clock your kilometres and support one of three epic grassroot environmental organisations.

These campaigns are GIVE A DAM (Blue Mountains), Fight for the Bight (SA) and Origin fracking in NT campaigns – the guys working on these campaigns need us to get behind them so they can win and what better way than to do it by running in the wild (or on your street at home)

We’ve done the talking about what needs to happen now it’s time to ‘run the talk’  – remember the antidote to despair is action!
