Sydney, Australia; 23 March 2024 - Mixing tradition with the new wave of Australian athletics talent, the 2024 Chemist Warehouse Sydney Track Classic at E.S Marks Athletics Field witnessed Australian 3000m champions Cameron Myers and Jessica Hull crowned, and a pair of relay records tumble thanks to the nation’s fastest women.
Almost 1000 runners took to the trails of kunanyi/Mount Wellington, competing in six races at the kunanyi Mountain  Run across the weekend, which ranged in distance from a Vertical Kilometre (1000 metres elevation over 5km) to a  grueling Ultra Marathon 66km. 
Local Hobart mum and top trail runner, Maggie Lennox, showed some of Australia’s elite trail runners just how  it’s done, with a stunning performance in the 25km event of this weekend’s kunanyi Mountain Run. 
Held just outside of Wartburg, Tennessee, the 2024 Barkley Marathons concluded with an amazing feat: five competitors finished the challenging course. notably, British Jasmin Paris has created history by becoming the first female competitor to complete this difficult race, clocking in at an astounding 59 hours, 58 minutes, and 21 seconds.
Victoria Ohuruogu, a British sprinter, recently exhaled a sigh of relief when a 16-month anti-doping investigation ended without incident. The inquiry was started by UK Anti-Doping (UKad) in December 2022 in response to a picture that showed Ohuruogu with her Italian sprinter boyfriend, Antonio Infantino, who is presently in the midst of a three-year doping ban.

New York City, March 17: At the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon, Karoline Bjerkeli Grøvdal of Norway and Abel Kipchumba of Kenya triumphed on a chilly and difficult morning, finishing in impressive times of 1:09:09 and 1:00:25, respectively. Experienced European Athletics cross-country champion Grøvdal made history by becoming the first female winner from Europe since 2010. Meanwhile, Kenya's dominance in the event was further enhanced by Kipchumba, who won the B.A.A. Half-Marathon last November, making history by becoming the ninth male champion in 17 years. Each athlete received a well-earned $20,000 award.
On Good Friday 29th of March, 2024, at 5:50 am, starting in Albany, Shane Johnstone, an ultra-runner, will embark on an awe-inspiring quest to tackle the Bibbulmun Track in Western Australia with the ambitious goal of completing it in under 10 days, aiming to establish a new Fastest Known Time (FKT) record. This endeavor will see Shane running an average of over 100 kilometers per day on undulating technical trail, showcasing the epitome of human determination and perseverance.
