Mike Norman has run the fastest 100m of 2020 so far in Fort Worth, Texas on Monday (20th July). He stopped the clock at 9.86 seconds. Known as a 400m runner, the fast 100m makes Norman one of the most versatile sprinters in the world right now.
Two-time world high-jump champion, and two-time Olympic medalist, Blanka Vlasic, is at at crossroads. At 36 years of age, retirement is looming.
World Athletics on Friday released a revised 10-day track and field programme for the  2021 Tokyo Olympics, assuming it isn't canceled or delayed again, due to Covid-19.

A three-year journey of heroism and burgeoning might on the road to the Tokyo Olympic Games by the internationally renowned Athlete Refugee Team has been captured in an emotionally-charged full length documentary feature considered to be the first production of its kind. The 90-minute film produced by On, the Swiss sportswear company and Hungry Man Productions, will be released on World Refugee Day to commemorate the more than 70 million forcibly displaced people worldwide.
The 2000m race, or Maurie Plant Memorial Race, is the first ever high profile virtual track event. #TeamCheruiyot has 2017 world 1,500m champion Elijah Manang’oi, Africa Under-18 1,500m champion Vincent Keter and Edwin Melly.
