Tasmanian local Sam Clifford takes out Burnie Ten over Isaac Heyne and Irishman Brian Hay in 28:17. Leanne Pompeani wins in a course record time of 31:40, beating Kylie Risk’s long standing record ahead of Caitlin Adams and Kate Spencer. Burnie Ten will host the Australian Road Running Championships for the next three years.

Yomi Kejelcha set a new world record of 57:30 at the Valencia Half Marathon, beating Jacob Kiplimo’s record set at Lisbon last year. Agnes Ngetich nearly set the World Record at the same race, winning in the second fastest of all time in 63:04. Ed Goddard ran 62:07 to finish 33rd place.
