The Margaret River Ultra Marathon is going ahead as planned this Saturday 1 May 2021 in south-west, Western Australia, after the WA Government announced an end to the snap-lockdown at midnight Monday 26 April.
Organisers Rapid Ascent will put relevant amendments in place to ensure the event follows current COVID-19 restrictions.

With just 121 days until the Tokyo Paralympic Games begin, Michael Roeger (ACT) and Jaryd Clifford (VIC) have broken the world records in their respective classes at Athletics Australia’s Tokyo Qualifying Marathon in Sydney this morning.
Proving unstoppable, Roeger recorded his fourth consecutive marathon world record when he crossed the line at 2:18.52 to slash 40 seconds off his personal best.
The record came as no surprise for the 32-year-old, who made his intentions clear this morning as he set off for his final marathon attempt before the Tokyo Games this August.

The Run Larapinta Stage Race gets underway this Wednesday in the four-day, four-stage event which will see participants take in some of the most spectacular sections of the iconic Larapinta Trail in Australia's Northern Territory.
Held from Wednesday 21 to Saturday 24 April, this is the rescheduled 2020 event after it was postponed due to COVID-19 last year.
