Botswana could be in hot water with World Athletics after suspended athlete Nijel Amos appeared in a group photo during the launch of the Orapa Marathon earlier this week. Neil Gourley, the in-form British athlete, finished in second place with a time of 3:34.23, while Azeddine Habz of France claimed the bronze medal, completing the race in 3:35.39.
Manangoi has been provisionally suspended in a case of whereabouts failures.  A whereabouts violation constitutes of any combination of three missed tests or filing failures in a 12-month period, according to the World Athletics anti-doping rules.  Athletes must provide doping officials with their whereabouts, or locations to be available for out-of-competition testing. Three missed tests in a 12-month span can lead to a suspension, even if an athlete has never tested positive.

Australian Ollie Hoare has won his second race in as many weeks. Having recently signed with the young and rapidly growing sneaker company 'ON', Hoeare Kicked off his debut as a pro with a win and a 3:34.64 1500m at the 2020 Music City Distance Carnival in Nashville.  It was the fastest 1500m in the US state of Tennessee's history . It also would have been an Olympic qualifying time, however the qualifying period has been frozen, meaning the run will not count for Tokyo 2021.
Olympic fourth place finisher Peter Bol has finished the season of his life, by crossing the line in fourth at the Zagreb Diamond League. Bol ran aggressively and was leading down the home straight, just running of steam over the final 50 metres.
