The 10th edition of the Surf Coast Century is cementing its’ reputation as one of Australia's must-do ultra trail marathons, attracting a number of past winners from ultra running events across the country.
The Margaret River Ultra Marathon is going ahead as planned this Saturday 1 May 2021 in south-west, Western Australia, after the WA Government announced an end to the snap-lockdown at midnight Monday 26 April. Organisers Rapid Ascent will put relevant amendments in place to ensure the event follows current COVID-19 restrictions.

Hobart local Andrew Gaskell and Broome runner Sarah Ludowici have won an automatic entry onto the Australian team that competes at this year’s World Mountain and Trail Running Championships in Austria, after taking out the grueling 67km Ultra (Solo) event at this weekend’s kunanyi Mountain Run.
Entries are now open to Victoria’s premier Trail Running Series for 2022 as it returns to its usual winter and spring seasons.
The Series Finale of the 2021 Trail Running Series was delivered in magnificent style on Sunday 6 February, with blue summer skies, magical trails and cheerful celebrations on the Surf Coast in Anglesea, Victoria. After a 6-month delay due to COVID-19 related challenges, it was a day of celebrations as 1,000 competitors immersed themselves in the bush and beach trails of Anglesea over the 22km, 15km, 8km and 4km courses on offer.
