On a radiant Sunday in Amorebieta, Spain, these two athletes delivered remarkable performances and etched their names as the inaugural gold event victors of the season.
Launceston, Tasmania; 14 March 2024 - This August, Australian athletics sets it sights on Tasmania, as the country’s most southern state gets set to host an unprecedented Australian Cross Country Championships for all ages, incorporating juniors to elite and through to masters participants.

The cream of Australia’s distance running crop are primed to take on the rugged Bathurst terrain next month, with Athletics Australia finalising its 28-strong team for the World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst 2023, taking place from February 17-19.
Just 35 days remains before Australia’s first World Athletics Series event in 27 years begins in Bathurst with the World Athletics Cross Country Championships, but before then, the country’s top distance stars will battle it out for selection at the Australian Trials this Sunday at Canberra’s Stromlo Forest.
