Paris, France; 12 July 2023 - The White Tiger is ready to roar on Day Four of the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships, with Australia’s fastest ever para athlete Chad Perris (ACT) set to lead the way for four international debutants today at Stade Charlety, Paris.
Paris, France; July 11, 2023 - Day Three of the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships belonged to James Turner (ACT) who burned his way to global gold number eight, while Australia’s debutants stamped their presence in Paris.
A surprising turn of events unfolded at the 2023 USATF Outdoor Championships as Athing Mu, the reigning World and Olympic champion in the 800 meters, made an unexpected decision regarding her participation in the 1500 meters. Despite finishing second in the 1500 meters, Mu has officially announced her withdrawal from the same event at the upcoming 2023 World Athletics Championships in Hungary, scheduled for August. Stepping in to represent Team USA will be Sinclaire Johnson, the reigning US champion in the 1500 meters. Johnson herself confirmed this update through a post on her Instagram account.
