Less than two weeks after his 17th birthday, Myers clocked 3:36.10 over 1500m in Pfungstadt, Germany, to better Ryan Gregson's 3:37.24 Australian Under 20 record.  Myers also broke his own U18 Australian record in the process (3:38.02).
World and Olympic 800-meter champion Athing Mu will return to the track after an 11-month absence. The USATF NYC Grand Prix at Icahn Stadium announced that Mu will compete in the 800 meters on Saturday. Her opponents will consist entirely of American athletes, including reigning World Indoor champion Ajee’ Wilson, last year’s Diamond League third placer Sage Hurta-Klecker, and 2022 US indoor 1500 champion Heather MacLean.
Peter Bol has opened his 2023 European season with a 1:45.81 in Nancy France.  The race, at the Meeting Stanislas, a World Athletics Continental Tour silver meet, marks a comeback of sorts for Bol, as he impressively bounces back from an incredibly tough last six months or so.
